This morning I hosted a beach clean at Gorleston beach for The Great British Beach Clean campaign which runs from 17th-26th September!
I was joined by 32 volunteers, where they collected a total of 80.75kg
This was mainly down to what we suspected to be a sand and water logged duvet. I consolidated all bags into 5 large bin bags ready for GYBC Rangers & Recycling to collect later.
4 x survey sheets were filled in as part of the #CitizenScience data for the Marine Conservation Society's records.
A local #LitterHero from Gorleston, Dylan, joined us on the litter pick too.
Some of the Great Yarmouth ASDA McDonald's team joined us too! The business manager, John, has kindly donated 4 lots of 2x medium meal vouchers as a prize to a beach clean game I've got planned with a group of students at the end of the month.
